Aerial view of the 1.25 km Blue Lagoon pool winding through the compound

A 1.25 kilometre swimming pool.

Not a phrase we borrowed from a brochure. The Blue Lagoon is one of the longest residential pools in Thailand, it winds through the whole compound, and our ground-floor terraces open directly onto it.

The lagoon

What it is, and why it changes the stay.

Most resort pools are something you visit — you walk to it, find a lounger, and walk back. This one runs past the buildings like a canal. It is 1.25 km end to end, wide enough to swim properly rather than do lengths in a rectangle, and it is fresh, still water rather than sea.

The practical difference is that swimming stops being an outing. Guests staying a month swim before breakfast because it takes forty seconds to get there, not because they planned to.

If you want to be closest to it, ask for a ground-floor Lagoon Access apartment — the terrace opens onto the water.

And the rest of the compound

Gated, landscaped, and shared with the Sheraton.

The lagoon sits inside the Hua Hin Blue Lagoon resort compound — the same gated, five-star grounds as the Sheraton Hua Hin. That means mature landscaping, security on the gate, and a beach about eight minutes’ walk through the grounds that is far quieter than Hua Hin’s public beach.

To be clear about who we are: we are not the Sheraton. We are seven independently owned apartments that share the compound with it, and you book with us directly. Guests can use the Sheraton’s facilities on the published resident terms — pools, gym, spa, kids’ club, food and drink — and we send the current details with every booking.
Practical

Swimming here, day to day.

  1. Fresh water, not salt — and no tide, so it swims the same at any hour.
  2. Shaded stretches and open stretches, so there is somewhere to be at midday.
  3. Shallow edges along the ground-floor terraces, which is why families with small children ask for that floor.
  4. Long enough that you can swim for exercise without turning every twenty metres.

Where everything sits relative to the beach, the town and the airport is on the location page.

Come and use it properly.
